NEM-EMERGE meets at its First Annual Meeting in Donostia / San Sebastian
From 10 to 12 March, the NEM-EMERGE consortium met in Donostia / San Sebastian for the first annual meeting of the project.
The meeting started with a stakeholder workshop, in which the partners were involved in the identification and characterisation of the stakeholders that can benefit from the results and outputs that will emerge from NEM-EMERGE. Due to the different organisation and functioning of the sectors of the potato and tomato value chains in the different countries where NEM-EMERGE is working, they focused separately on each of them in order to have a complete picture of each: Spain, Turkey and the Netherlands. From plant breeders to growers, processors, agro-control companies, research centres and companies… They defined how the chain works in each country, with the ultimate aim of identifying the stakeholders.
The workshop was followed by a review of the work carried out in each of the project’s work packages, where the partners in charge of the work packages gave an update and a plan of the activities planned for the coming months. Interesting results have started to emerge and promising activities are planned. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days!
