NEM-EMERGE research at the 17th Slovenian Conference on Plant Protection

On 3-4 March 2026, the NEM-EMERGE partners from KIS participated in the 17th Slovenian Conference on Plant Protection, held in Radenci, Slovenia. Around 200 participants attended the meeting, including researchers and university professors working in the field, students with an interest in plant protection, and other relevant stakeholders such as representatives of the NPPO from Slovenia and agricultural advisors.

The NEM-EMERGE partners presented two posters on the results obtained up to now, one on the virulence of Slovenian root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) populations against Mi-resistant tomato, and the other on the occurrence of tropical root-knot nematode Meloidogyne luci in field-grown tomato
plants in Slovenia.
